The New IO-390 A3A6 210 HP Lycoming Engine has now been installed on my '58 Cessna 175. Installation is the same as the IO-360 200 HP. All PMA/FAA approved parts for the IO-360 will be used for the IO-390.

The IO-390 comes with Roller Tappets and Cam and Counter Weighted Crankshaft. This engine runs really Smooth. Have 225 hrs of flight time on the installation with Wheels, Floats, Skis it's showing about 5mph faster on 9.2 gph fuel burn. I'm using the HC-C2YR-1BF/F8477-2 Hartzell Prop. Cruise speed on wheels (600 x 6) at 6500 AGL at 65% power is 155 TAS. As you can see below at 65% Cruise power fuel comsumption is LESS! than the IO-360 200hp.
                               All I can say is that it's "Damn Awesome!"
